The town Building Department on April 9 received an application for a 6,500-square-foot home in southwestern New Canaan.
The four-bedroom house planned for 173 Adams Lane will include seven full bathrooms, one half-bath, three fireplaces, a finished basement (at 1,406 square feet, with media, fitness and yoga rooms, and a bathroom), and a three-car garage, according to the building permit application.
It will cost $650,000 to build, the application said.
The contractor on the job is Branford-based Atlas Construction Services LLC, the architect Biancardi Studios of Glastonbury.
The town last month issued a permit to demolish the 1971-built, 3,214-square-foot Colonial on the 2.65-acre lot.
The property was purchased in October for $1,650,000, tax records show.
