Local news website NewCanaanite.com is taking applications for its 2017 summer internship program, sponsored by Baskin-Robbins.

We are seeking an aspiring journalist with an interest in community news and experience in the field, including at high school and/or college papers or sites.
The program will start the week of June 26 and will conclude Aug. 18, and will include hard news and feature training and writing, covering live community events, government meetings and breaking news stories. Applicants should be detail- and goal-oriented, punctual, discreet and responsive.
The internship is paid. We are taking one single outstanding applicant. All qualified applicants are expected to try out.
