Police on Saturday evening arrested a 51-year-old Woodland Road woman and charged her with second-degree breach of peace and interfering with an officer.
At about 5:46 p.m. on Aug. 24, officers were dispatched to Woodland Road on a report of a woman who could be heard screaming by neighbors, officials said.
There, officers saw her screaming obscenities at her neighbors and their young children, and giving them the finger, according to a police report.
Police found the woman at her home and took her into custody on the misdemeanor charges, it said. During the arrest, the woman resisted attempts to put handcuffs on her, the report said.
She was released after promising to appear Sept. 4 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
Arrested for giving “the Bronx salute” to a neighbor. How embarrassing. This is not suppose to happen in “the next station to heaven”. Perhaps her nerves are frayed by the late school start time debate.
