Kim Ferris, 58

More

Kim Ferris (née O’Keefe), a light in the lives of all she met, passed peacefully on December 10, 2024, after a 21-year battle with cancer.

Kim Ferris.

She is remembered by those who knew her best as someone who spread love, laughter, positivity, and above all, kindness to every person she met. Born on June 21, 1966, she will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Henry, children, Hank & Alison, her mother, Beverly Gore, life-long friends & colleagues, and all those who were fortunate enough to cross her path.

Born in the Bronx, Kim grew up in Mt. Kisco, NY, graduated from Fox Lane High School and received her bachelor’s degree from Ohio Wesleyan. She spent most of her professional career with J.P. Morgan, where most recently she served as a Managing Director within the firm’s Wealth Management and International Private Bank divisions. Her colleagues noted that her wit, passion, and care were felt by all those around her. Her family takes solace knowing the positive impact she had across so large an organization and the multitude of lives made better by her own.

Among Kim’s many achievements her family always came first, with the love and pride in her husband, children, and mother evident everywhere she went and on display for all she met. Her love of family stemmed from a kindness that few possess and even fewer still consistently lead with – always putting others before herself, offering a helping hand, or simply being someone to talk to. Kim will be remembered as more than just a daughter, wife, mother, friend, or co-worker, but as someone who was truly selfless in her pursuit of showing love and kindness to all those in her life and helping others find the same within their own.

Months before she passed, she let her children know that instead of sadness, her life should be celebrated with love, joy, flowers, and the odd dash of champagne. In that spirit, we raise our glasses to you Kimmy and invite all those who wish to celebrate her life to join her family and friends at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, New Canaan, CT on December 21, beginning at 11AM.
