Join fellow residents and NewCanaanite.com editor Michael Dinan for the monthly Community Coffee, to be held 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 6 in the Jim & Dede Bartlett Auditorium at New Canaan Library.

The Coffee is presented in partnership with the library, and the brew is supplied by Zumbach’s Gourmet Coffee (thank you, Doug). This month, Salon Anastassia is also providing donuts.
The free, public coffee is a group conversation about what’s happening around town, moderated by Dinan.
Topics come from attendees and we spend no more than 10 minutes per subject.
Those who would like to receive a friendly reminder email about the coffee—held the first Thursday of each month—should email Dinan at editor@newcanaanite.com.
Why are we charging handicap people to park Great Coffee Mike
Ran out of time to get this question in
On the topic
People with crutches need to walk to a parking stand and use a app to pay to
Park
Would we lose a lot of money if we gave
Them free parking
Common sense
Good point but as a counter point, I’ve never seen a truly disabled person in a vehicle with handicapped tags. I’m sure they exist but it is abused a lot.
Alrighty, this thread is closed. Thank you.
Agree Rich. Are you aware that the Elm Street commercial retailers sent a petition to the First Selectman Dionna Carlson opposing the paid parking. She ignored their plea and desires. I now see multiple Trucks parking in the Main Street Handicap spots that are mostly empty now and still double parking. Where is the enforcement?
In my opinion why didn’t town hall complete the truck parking in the town hall Park street lot before having residents pay for parking?
