Holiday Lights on Elm Street

The holiday season in New Canaan is a special time, and one of the most cherished elements is the sparkling transformation of our downtown shopping district. From the week of Thanksgiving until mid-January, the professional installation of beautiful lights creates a magical atmosphere, welcoming shoppers, visitors, and residents alike.

These lights are not a gift from an outside entity; they are a tradition—a gift that New Canaanites give to each other. They connect our community with the commerce that sustains our local businesses, fostering a festive spirit that truly embodies the season.

However, creating this dazzling display comes at a cost. The annual professional installation and upkeep amount to $35,000. We are asking for your help to continue this cherished tradition.

The New Canaan Chamber recognizes the deep connection and support local residents have for efforts to “Connect The Community With Commerce.” By contributing, you ensure the downtown remains a brilliant beacon throughout the Holiday Season.

We invite you to make a tax-deductible donation through the New Canaan Chamber Charitable Foundation. Every contribution, big or small, directly supports this important project. Let’s work together to keep our town bright.

Click here to donate and help keep our downtown shining.
