The New Canaan Building Department on March 16 received an application for a 4,586-square-foot home on St. John Place.
The five-bedroom house planned for 50 St. John Place will include four full bathrooms, one half-bath, one fireplace, an unfinished basement and attic and two-car garage, according to the building permit application.
It will cost $1 million to build, the application said.
The contractor on the job is Kevin Jack Poole of Monroe, the architect New Canaan-based Stephen Lecher Associates LLC, it said.
The .37-acre lot includes an 1885-built home, tax records show. It was purchased in January for $2.2 million, the records show.
