Police are investigating the slashing of the tires on a Heritage Hill Road man’s car.
The man phoned police at 3 p.m. Thursday, saying he suspected a neighbor who has been upset about the spot where he—the complainant—usually parks, according to a police report.
Specifically, the report said, the complainant parks directly behind a garage door that still is an allowed space, and it’s been a point of consternation for the neighbor in the past, the report said.
The man took the tires off of the wheel and brought them to Town Fair Tire, the report said.
Police said there’s no surveillance video in the condominium complex.

Police are investigating a report that two green trash cans were taken from the sidewalk and garden area outside of New Canaan Diner on Forest Street.
The garbage receptacles had been in place Sunday night, and the complainant noticed on Tuesday that they had gone missing, police said.
