Can’t Get Out of Dying? Why Not Plan for It!

FreeThe second Panel Discussion on End-of-Life Conversations, “Can’t Get Out of Dying? Why Not Plan for it!”, will be on Wednesday, May 11’ at the New Canaan Library from 5 to 7 p.m., including a reception and opportunity for questions. The first Panel Discussion, attended by well over 100 people on April 27, focused on general guidelines for talking about end-of-life issues and health care decisions with family members.
The May 11th Panel Discussion will provide practical resources to ensure effective end-of-life planning with presentations by members of the New Canaan based Alliance of Business Professionals, a group of community minded experts in various fields who often present programs of general interest to area residents. Alliance members’ homes or business locations range from Greenwich to Fairfield. The event is co-sponsored by the Alliance and Staying Put, a non-profit dedicated to helping seniors remain in their homes by providing support on many levels.
The Panel Discussion on May 11th will be moderated by Bill Bergner of Fairfield, owner of State Farm Insurance in New Canaan and a founding member of the Alliance.
Panelists and Topics include: Don Moyle of Insurance Navigation: Health insurance solutions for businesses and individuals; Michelle Beltrano, J.D. R.N of Beltrano Law, Greenwich: Elder Law and Legal Documents, Ensuring your family understands your final wishes and their roles in making them happen; Karen Goersch of Ameriprise: Financial Planning and long term medical needs, and Carol Hollyday of William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty : Downsizing Options: Living safely at home, moving to a condo or considering a senior community.
