NCPD Investigation Leads To Arrest of Two Queens, N.Y. Residents Who Used Credit Cards Illegally in Town

Police this week arrested two Queens, N.Y. residents by warrant after they used credit cards illegally in New Canaan.

At about 8 p.m. on June 9, a man from the St. Albans community in Queens and a woman from the Rosedale neighborhood, both 23, entered two business in town and used the cards to purchase items in both, according to a police report.

Police investigated the incident and obtained warrants for their arrests, the report said.

At about 7:40 p.m. on Tuesday, the woman turned herself in on three counts of conspiracy to commit illegal use of a credit card as well as illegal use of a credit card, conspiracy, conspiracy to commit fifth-degree larceny and sixth-degree larceny.

The man turned himself in at 12:51 p.m. on Wednesday on charges of fifth-degree larceny, three counts of illegal use of a credit card, conspiracy and sixth-degree larceny.

Each was released on $650 bond and scheduled to appear Oct. 3 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
