Police last week cited a 38-year-old Bridgeport man for minor drug violations after finding pot during a traffic stop.
At about 6:13 a.m. on Dec. 21, an officer on patrol saw a motorist fail to obey a traffic control signal at East Avenue and Main Street, according to a police report.
During a subsequent stop, the officer smelled marijuana emitting from the vehicle, the report said.
The driver was cited for possession of less than .5 ounces of marijuana as well as failure to obey a traffic control signal, both infraction-level offenses.
