The Board of Selectmen during its regular meeting Monday approved a $2,600 contract with local firm RKW Land Surveying for identifying wetlands in and surveying the area of Lapham and Talmadge Hill Roads. The Old Stamford Road cat named Link that bit a South Avenue man last month has since bit another person, officials say. The cat had already bitten six victims, including a child, going back to 2017, officials say.

A police officer at 4:14 a.m. Wednesday working a construction detail downtown saw a woman walking barefoot on Elm Street, shivering and in need of possible assistance. Police later found that the New York Police Department had an extraditable warrant out for the 36-year-old woman. She was taken into custody and held without bond pending extradition.

Bring the family to see Saxe Middle School’s production of “Madagascar, Jr,” a musical based on the Disney movie. A group of animals who have spent all their life in Central Park Zoo, end up in the jungles of Madagascar, and must adjust to living in the wild. Performances will be in the Saxe Auditorium, Friday November 11 at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, November 12 at 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Tickets are $12 and can be purchased here.
