I have been to the Post Office a number of times over the past two weeks and I wanted to let you know just how special, kind and patient Veronica is. She is the only one at the window in the afternoon and even though each day she has to deal with long lines and people that need extra help with shipping, she treats each person as if they are the only one there.
We are lucky to have someone like Veronica in our town.

This is the season for giving thanks, among other things.
One of the treasures that help to bind our community is the New Canaanite. We would like to extend our appreciation to Mike Dinan for his indefatigable and informative contributions, both via the daily newsletter and through his bimonthly, New England style ‘town meetings’ in the library.

I couldn’t agree more with the praise given to Veronica at the Post Office. She is patient, incredibly helpful and always smiling, regardless of the size of the crowd. Mike is wonderful too there – they make a great duo!
