FreePursuing a Specialized School Placement
Special Education Law Attorney Lawrence Berliner, moderator, will focus on your child’s special education rights. He will guide parents whose child is struggling in school – to find appropriate educational solutions and placements. Schools will be represented by key personnel who will highlight the benefits of their school’s individualized programs. There will be break- out sessions with schools so that parents can obtain more information and find out how the school could best fit the needs of their child.
Grove School: Sean Kursawe, Principal and Kelly Webster, Associate Executive Director, Madison, CT. Grove School is a college preparatory therapeutic boarding school representing students in grades 7-12.
The Southport School: Dr. Benjamin N. Powers, Headmaster, and Samantha Berg, Director of Admissions, Southport, CT. The Southport School represents students with language based learning disabilities such as dyslexia, and ADHD in grades K through 8th.
Winston Preparatory School: Beth Sugerman, Head of School and Michelle Rolfe, Director of Admissions, Norwalk, CT, Winston Preparatory School represents students in grades 4-12, with learning differences such as dyslexia, nonverbal learning disabilities and executive function difficulties.
