Housing Trends, Backstage Peek of Football Broadcasts on Men’s Club Agenda
January 12 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
After rising to the 7% range, mortgage rates are starting to fall back in response to signals from the Federal Reserve that it will be lowering interest in 2024. The New Canaan Men’s Club Friday will hear an analysis of what lies ahead for housing and the mortgage market from one of its members, Richard Coyle, whose career has been in housing finance, for the past 11 years with the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corp., popularly known as Freddie Mac.
And with the National Football League playoffs getting underway, the meeting will also hear from another member, Gary Russo, whose lengthy career in network broadcast news and entertainment programming will describe what goes into producing a live NFL telecast.
The meeting at Morrill Hall in St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 111 Oenoke Ridge, will begin at 10 a.m. with the speakers’ remarks set for around 10:40 a.m. Each meeting reports on member activities and scheduled events and hosts speakers on a range of topics and issues.
The club has openings for new members. Men, 55-years old and above, can email the club for information about joining at ncmens@ncmens.info.
