Zoe Robinson, Principal of East Elementary School

The district has announced that Zoe Robinson, currently assistant principal at South School, will take over as East School principal July 1. Robinson earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Brooklyn College, a master’s degree in Curriculum, Instruction, & Assessment from Walden University, and an Intermediate Administrator Certification from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield. She is pursuing a doctorate degree in Educational Leadership, also from Walden.

The United Methodist Women will host Cheryl Bundy, Director of Spiritual Care & Hospital Chaplain at Silver Hill Hospital, for “The Mental Health Crisis in Our Backyard,” to be held from 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, April 22. During the free event, Bundy will discuss mental health issues and will have information about Urgent Assessment. “We will learn how spirituality can help endure and contextualize a mental health crisis,” organizers say. Police have received more reports of vandalism in downtown New Canaan, at 94 Elm St. (reported at 10:22 a.m. on April 17), 88 Park St. (10:37 a.m. on April 12).
