Adelaide “Addie” Chaves Kean.

Addie’s greatest joy was her family. She married her beloved husband on May 18, 1974, and together they shared 52 years of marriage, raising their children and building a life centered on love and caring for one another.

She was a devoted mother to her son, Artie Kean, and his wife, Chelsea, and her daughter, Maria Faucher, and her husband, Jonathan. Above all, she cherished being “Nana” to her grandchildren, Kadence and Kota Faucher and Charlotte Kean.

Addie also shared a special bond with Lana Kean, Charlotte’s mother, who remained a cherished part of her life.

Nana never missed an opportunity to be there for her grandchildren. From sporting events and dance recitals to shopping sprees and special school celebrations, she showed up with love and pride. Whether it was a milestone or an ordinary afternoon together, time with her grandchildren meant everything to her.

Addie was also a beloved and essential part of Keans Korner Mobil. Although she did not work at the business, she was always there to support her family, helping with errands, running around, and doing whatever was needed behind the scenes. Through her generosity, warmth, and dedication, she helped support the family business and the people she loved.

Addie had a gift for taking care of people and making them feel loved. “Nana” was more than a name her grandchildren called her-she was everyone’s Nana. Her warmth extended far beyond her own family, and there was always room in her heart for one more.

She loved the holidays and the happiness of having her family together. She treasured her close bond with her sister-in-law, Cathy Kean, whose love and companionship brought her comfort and who remained by her side until the end. She also shared a special bond with her brother-in-law, Frank Fruscino, husband of her late sister, Maria. Frank was by Addie’s side throughout it all, offering unwavering love, comfort, and support.

Addie was predeceased by her parents, Jose and Jesuina Esteves, and her beloved sister, Maria E. Fruscino.

Her family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Frank at Norwalk Hospital for taking over Addie’s care and ensuring she received the care and comfort she needed. They are also deeply grateful to the nurses, doctors, and staff on 6 East for their extraordinary compassion and kindness. They brought comfort to Addie and her family during their most difficult days. Addie loved those who cared for her and made sure to tell them so. Her family will forever remember the tenderness and dignity with which they treated her.

Her love will live on in the family she cared for so devotedly, in the support she gave to Keans Korner Mobil, and in the countless lives she touched.

The wake and funeral services will be private. Memorial donations may be made to Project Purple at https://www.projectpurple.org/ in Addie’s memory, supporting families affected by pancreatic cancer and advancing research toward a cure.

The Family is being compassionately cared for by the staff at Hoyt Funeral Home, 199 Main Street, New Canaan CT 06840. For online condolences please visit www.hoytfuneralhome.com.
