Beverly W. Fairty (Lee), age 84, died peacefully Tuesday, September 27, 2022 in Norwalk, CT following a brave journey with Alzheimer’s.
Born in Norwalk, CT on May 31, 1938. She was the daughter of the late Irving and Edith Wood. Lee grew up and lived in New Canaan, CT for most of her life prior to moving to Greenwich, CT and then Williamsburg, VA.
Lee owned S. B. Hoyt Flower and Nursery Shop in New Canaan for many years. Upon moving to Williamsburg she continued her flower business. She was in charge of decorating and flower arrangements for events at Two Rivers Country Club as well as being a member.
She is predeceased by her second husband, Edwin Thoet, her sister Constance Platts and her son Scott Fairty. Lee is survived and missed by her sons, David , John (Libbe), Jay (Patty), her daughter-in-law Fiona and her 3 grandchildren Gordon (Shelby), Caitlin, Tara (Jacob), her brother Bruce Wood, brother-in-law Gerry Coderre along with many nieces and nephews.
Friends may attend her interment at Lakeview Cemetery on Saturday, 10/15/22 at 10:30 AM with a celebration of her life following in The Barn at Greenwich Audubon Center, 613 Riversville Rd. Greenwich, CT

I am so sorry to have just read this and missed her service. I worked with Lee for a number of years. She was always fun, caring and generous. My heart is heavy I missed saying goodbye. Karen Stewart
