John O. Peck, 73

John O. Peck, of Vista, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 14, 2025, at the age of 73. John was born in Mount Kisco, NY, on June 11, 1951, to the late Oliver “Jack” and Elizabeth “Betty” Peck. A lifelong resident of Vista, he was a proud graduate of the John Jay High School Class of 1970 in Cross River, NY. In April 1973, John met his soulmate, Carol. The two married on May 1, 1981, and together they built a beautiful life.

Frank Hermes, 82

Frank Hermes passed away at the age of 82 on January 21 with Cindie, his beloved wife of 57 years, by his side. He is also survived by his son and daughter-in law, Jim and Lisa Hermes; and daughter and son-in law, Liz and Kier Riemersma; as well as his grandsons, Taylor and Jack Hermes and Rocky Riemersma. Frank (or Sandy or Max, depending on who you ask) was born in New Rochelle, NY and went on to grow up in New Canaan, CT with his father Frank, mother Jerry, and sisters Pat and June. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1965 and stayed close to his alma mater all his life. After graduating from college, Frank served in the U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Eustis in Newport News, VA.

Martha (Marti) Hosler Durey, 1940-2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Martha (Marti) Hosler Durey, who left this world peacefully on February 1, 2025, at Norwalk Hospital. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, John C. Durey, Jr.; her dear brother, Robert M. Hosler, Jr.; and her loving parents, Robert M. Hosler, Sr., MD and Eleanor (McCurdy) Hosler. Though she has departed, her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her many nieces and nephews, cherished friends, and her faithful furry companions, Coco and Chacha. Born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1940, Marti graduated from high school in 1958 before attending Mount Union College. There, she was a proud member of the Tri Delta sorority and earned her degree in sociology in 1962.

Sydney Fulford, 94

Sydney “Nana” Snell Fulford passed away peacefully and with grace, surrounded by loving family, on January 17, 2025. Born in Brooklyn Heights on January 27, 1930, she was days away from her 95th birthday. Sydney was ready to depart, though torn between leaving her beloved family and joining the love of her life, Bill Fulford, who she met in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. After flipping a sailboat together on Lake Saint Clair, they soon married and started a family. Sydney grew up in Great Neck, NY, and was a graduate of Wheelock College.

Yolanda Kraemer, 77

July 7, 1947 – January 24, 2025

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Yolanda Bensey Kraemer on Friday, January 24, 2025. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Yolanda lived a life filled with love, warmth, and unwavering dedication to those she held dear. Born in New York City on July 7, 1947, Yolanda grew up on the Upper East Side and in the Bronx. She was the beloved daughter of Julia Bensey and a cherished sister to Barbara Maietta. Family was always at the heart of Yolanda’s life, and in 1973, she married Arthur Kraemer, the love of her life and her best friend.
