NewCanaanite.com will hold its Community Coffee at 8:30 a.m. Thursday in the Lamb Room at New Canaan Library.
All are welcome to attend.
During the coffee, a free event presented in partnership with the library, those in attendance are welcome to participate actively or just listen in on an informal discussion on a wide range of local topics.
We proudly serve locally brewed Zumbach’s gourmet coffee (thanks, Doug).
Moderated by New Canaanite owner and editor Michael Dinan, the coffee has been held on the first Thursday morning of each month for more than three years. Starting in 2018, due to demand and based on feedback from attendees, it will be held twice per month.
Topics typically cover local matters raised in articles that appeared on the news site since the previous coffee, so this month those could include:
- Editorial: A Disputed FOI Question Regarding ‘Illegal Meetings’
- ‘The Collected Home’: New Canaan Mom of Eight Opens ‘Lifestyle Shop’ in Rowayton
- Meg Domino To Step Down as Executive Director of New Canaan CARES
- Man Who Offered To Pay Teen in Waveny for Sex: I Saw It Work in Porn
- ‘The Town’s Heritage Is Being Eroded’: Objection Filed in Planned Demolition of 1829-Built Forest Street Home
- Bruegger’s Bagels in New Canaan To Close Sunday
Anyone who would like their name added to a reminder email distribution list, please let me know at editor@newcanaanite.com.
Thanks, and hope to see you Thursday.
