Stella Clarke, Director of Community Engagement and Volunteering with NCL fashion show models

The National Charity League, Canaan Parish chapter, partnered with the New Canaan Thrift Shop, a member of the Waveny LifeCare Network, for their annual Fashion Show and afternoon tea. According to their tradition, the junior class puts on a Fashion Show with a local fashion store; this year the group selected The Thrift Shop and modeled outfits chosen there. Stella Clarke, Waveny’s Executive Director of Community Engagement and Volunteering said in a statement, “I was honored to join the tea and have the chance to speak about the purpose of the Thrift Shop, Waveny and Hospice care and the impact of their volunteer support in raising funds for charitable care.” Attendees brought donations of clothing for the Shop and afterwards delivered the event’s centerpieces to the Waveny Care Center, where they are now being enjoyed by residents, families and staff in our dining room and lounges.
