A Banshee Rune-brand bicycle worth $5,000 has been reported stolen from an unlocked shed at a North Wilton Road residence, according to police.
A second specialized bike worth $1,500 also was taken from the shed some time between June 13 and 16, according to a police report.
The theft was reported to police at 6:14 p.m. on June 16.

Police at 1:29 p.m. on June 17 received a report that an iPhone 6 Plus worth about $900 had been stolen from a construction site on a Lukes Wood Road property.
A 38-year-old man told police that the phone had been charging with others belonging to workers on the site, and that his had gone missing at about 10 a.m. that day.

A 41-year-old West Road woman told police that a pair of $228 sunglasses had been delivered to her home and signed for by someone, who appears to have stolen them subsequently.
The larceny occurred on June 8, and police received a report about it on June 17. Though there had been people working on her property at the time, the woman told police she felt it wasn’t them who signed for and stole the sunglasses.

A 66-year-old woman at 5:21 p.m. on June 18 told police that an iPad worth about $800 had been stolen from her car between 9 and 10:30 a.m. that day.
According to a police report, the woman had been parked behind the Red Cross building off of Main Street—a lot that is now designated for use by municipal employees working at the newly renovated and expanded Town Hall—and that she’d left the device under a garment in the car.
Police are investigating.

The story is told that some years ago a Roman Catholic university in the U.S. submitted to the Vatican for approval plans for a new classroom. The plans were returned unapproved with the notation in Latin, are they angels? The architects had forgotten the men’s rooms. Perhaps the First Selectman would have been well-advised to submit the plans for the Town Hall to the Vatican.
