ArtScapades presents Early American Portraiture: From Folk Art to Fine Art

ArtScapades returns to the New Canaan Library on Monday, September 26th to present Early American Portraiture. Artscapades will detail the lives and works of three Early American Folk Artists: Joshua Johnston, Ammi Phillips, and Erastus Salisbury Field; and three Early American Fine Artists: John Singleton Copley, Gilbert Stuart, and Thomas Sully.
Please note new lecture time: 6:30-8:00 p.m. in the Lamb Room of the New Canaan Library, 151 Main Street

Robin Hoffman and Jodi Stiffelman established ArtScapades in 2009 after teaching art appreciation for ten years in the New Canaan public school system. This is their eighth series of lectures at New Canaan Library.​
