On January 8, 2026, the Chabad of New Canaan will celebrate 15 years of Jewish life, learning and community with a Gala Dinner at Serafresca at the Italian Center in Stamford. The evening starts with cocktails at 5:30 pm with the dinner and program beginning at 6:30 pm.

The Gala will honor the impact of the Weinman Jewish Academy and the memory of Roberta Weinman. Through the generosity and vision of the Weinman family, the Academy carries forward her legacy of building community through learning, friendship and shared purpose.

This year’s Gala will honor outstanding community members. The Young Leadership Award will go to Yan and Dr. Valerie Klats whose dedication to Jewish life, community involvement and Israel exemplifies the next generation of leaders.

The Teen Volunteer Award will honor Aria Babayev, a graduate of the New Canaan Hebrew School who continues to volunteer weekly assisting with classes and programs.
