$15 – $25CHARIS HOLIDAY CONCERT CELEBRATES THE SEASON
Charis Chamber Voices celebrates the season with its annual Holiday Concert: Saturday, December 7 at 4:00 p.m. at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 85 E Main Street, Mount Kisco, NY, and Sunday, December 8, at 4:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of New Canaan, 178 Oenoke Ridge Road, New Canaan, CT. Charis’s Artistic Director, Jeremy Wiggins, conducts a program of Baroque and contemporary works.
The program features Messe de Minuit pour Noël (Midnight Mass for Christmas) by Marc-Antoine Charpentier, a charming work that blends the rich tradition of French carols with the splendor of the Baroque era, and Morten Lauridsen’s Mid-Winter Songs, a captivating exploration of winter’s beauty through Robert Graves’s evocative poetry. The concert also includes the whimsical and festive charm of Pippa Cleary’s In the Snow and the timeless, nostalgic setting of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, made famous by Fred Waring and The Pennsylvanians. We look forward to sharing this unforgettable evening with you!
Tickets are $25 ($20 for seniors and $15 for students). They may be purchased in advance through the Charis website, www.charisvocals.com, or at the door.
