Circus Comes to Town

The circus will be returning to New Canaan and will be performing at Saxe Middle School field on Friday, June 19 and Saturday, June 20 with show times at 4:00 PM and 6:30 PM. Hosted by the New Canaan YMCA and Kiwanis Club of New Canaan, this year’s circus features exciting acts and performances from the Zerbini Family Circus, an eighth generation family circus that travels and performs across the country and who made its New Canaan debut last year.

Spectators will enjoy new exciting acts including aerialists, jugglers, clowns, acrobats, camels, and more. Children will also have the opportunity to join in on the fun with camel rides available during intermission. The show is appropriate for all families with children of all ages, and no wild animals are part of the performance.

Proceeds from the circus will benefit financial assistance for the Y as well as the Kiwanis community fund, which supports youth programs throughout the community.

Helping to bring the circus back to town this year are several local business and organizations who are sponsoring the event. 2015 sponsors include: Stamford Hospital, New Canaan Advertiser, Nurenu Brand Marketing, TD Bank, Action Letter, Eric & Susan Sheinberg, Karl Chevrolet, New Canaan Oil Co., Rings End, Walter Stewart’s Market, Brightview on New Canaan, Hawthorne, Ackerly, & Dorrance, Indian Rock Families, Karp Associates Inc.—Builders, Stewart’s Spirits, Sperry DeCew, First County Bank, Little’s Specialty Foods, New Canaan Bicycles, New Canaan Board of Realtors, New Canaan Olive Oil, New Canaanite, Simply Delicious Catering, and the Wronski Family.

Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door and children 2 and under are free. Tickets are currently available and can be purchased online at www.newcanaancircus.eventbrite.com or at the New Canaan YMCA, Baskin Robbins New Canaan, Karl Chevrolet, TD Bank New Canaan, and Walter Stewart’s Market.
