Creative Practices For Modern People

September 15 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Free

In turbulent times, creativity matters more than ever. New ideas, approaches, possibilities all have value when the old answers seem less relevant.

We tend to think of creativity as a stroke of inspiration, but it is far more complex and results from intentional practices that creators over centuries have figured out. These practices can inspire us to strengthen our own creative abilities and output.”

The Economist called John Kao “Mr. Creativity” and a “serial innovator.” He is an entrepreneur, pianist, former Harvard Business School professor, best-selling author, and Tony-nominated producer of feature films and Broadway theater.

Kao is Senior Fellow at Yale’s School of Engineering and Applied Science as well as a Yale Entrepreneur-In-Residence. He has a long history of thought leadership regarding innovation and entrepreneurship. In the summer of 1969 he played keybroads with Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention.
