Historical Fiction Authors Discuss Bringing the Past to Life
November 9 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
FreeJourney through time and place with acclaimed authors Suzanne Nelson (Librarians of Lisbon), Diana Giovinazzo (Daughters of Naples), and Weina Dai Randel (The Last Rose of Shaghai) explore the art of writing historical fiction. From the romantic streets of Paris and the vibrant alleys of Naples to the rich dynasties of China, these three storytellers will share how they breathe life into the past.
The evening will begin with an opening discussion led by Suzanne Nelson, followed by a collaborative dialogue among the authors. Together, they will dive into their most recent novels, the deep cultural influences shaping their narratives, and the meticulous research and creative processes that power their work. The panel will conclude with an audience Q&A and a book signing hosted by our local independent bookstore, Elm Street Books.
