Needed for New Canaan performance of Magical Music for Life’s Two Little Snowflakes mini musical are children entering 2nd – 5th grade who can sing and like to perform.  Open call auditions will be held September 16th at The Studio, 26 Forest Street, New Canaan.  Rehearsals will start in September on scheduled Sunday afternoons and the performance at New Canaan’s Holiday Stroll will take place December 5th.  For more information or to sign up for an audition, email Magical Music for Life at info@magicalmusic.org.

Two Little Snowflakes is a mini musical about friendship. It was inspired by events of 9/11 and serves as a reminder to us all the importance of cherishing our friendships. The musical follows the life of two little snowflakes on their journey from their clouds in the sky as they fall to Earth, melt into water droplets, and fuse with a seed, eventually becoming a beautiful oak.  The circle of life and the true meaning of friendship are in the forefront of this musical play.

Also, on September 16th, auditions will be held for MMFL’s three singing groups: Mini Singers (girls & boys 2nd – 5th grade), Junior Singers (girls 6th – 8th grade), and Magical Music Singers (girls & boys 9 – 12 grade).  Each of these groups has a limited number of members and the Magical Music Singers is arranged for four-part harmony.  Singers will be rehearsing on scheduled Sunday afternoons in New Canaan starting in September through early May, performing in community/charity events in the tri-state area and Magical Music’s TUNES INTIMES SQUARE in New York City, and possibly singing in recording projects.  Magical Music for Life is a participant in the President’s Volunteer Service Award and time spent with the singing groups qualifies toward the award.  For more information or to sign up for an audition, email Magical Music for Life at info@magicalmusic.org.

Magical Music for Life develops and produces a wide range of musical projects that deliver positive, inspirational, and education messages to children and their families.  These projects entertain while educating and promoting conversation about how to deal with everyday life in a positive manner.  As a way to reinforce self-confidence and further self-esteem, many of these projects are designed to enable children to participate in the performance and/or recording of these productions, using their talents to help others.  Magical Music’s original songs, which are available to download at www.magicalmusic.org are performed and recorded by the Magical Music singing groups.
