Untermeyer Garden – America’s Most Spectacular Garden in the 1920’s

On April 5, 2017 beginning at 9:30am (coffee) with the program starting at 10:00am at the New Canaan Nature Center, Stephen F. Byrns, founder and president of the Untermyer Gardens Conservancy will give his presentation about America’s Most Spectacular Garden in the 1920’s. The lecture has many photos, both historic and current, which describe the history and design of the gardens and Samuel Untermyer, who was a major figure of his day. Together with the Conservancy and the Town of Yonkers, New York, the gardens are being beautifully restored so they will once again be one of the greatest gardens in America. The program concludes with a spectacular drone video.
