Police last week arrested a 27-year-old West Road man and charged him with disorderly conduct.
At about 1:24 p.m. on April 18, officers were dispatched to the man’s home on a reported dispute between him and the victim, officials said.
There, authorities conducted an investigation that resulted in the misdemeanor charge.
It’s unclear what caused the dispute, what it involved or whether it turned physical. Police declined to provide details, saying it’s a domestic matter.
Under state law, a person is guilty of disorderly conduct when he or she, “with intent to cause inconvenience, annoyance or alarm, engages in fighting or in violent, tumultuous or threatening behavior; or by offensive or disorderly conduct, annoys or interferes with another person,” among other reasons.
The man was released after promising to appear April 19 in state Superior Court.
