Police on Sunday night arrested a 50-year-old New Canaan woman and charged her with disorderly conduct.
At about 6:28 p.m., officers were dispatched to a Cedar Lane home regarding a dispute between the woman and a victim at the residence, according to a police report.
There, police conducted an investigation and brought the misdemeanor charge, the report said.
It wasn’t clear what the dispute involved, whether it turned physical or whether the victim is related to the arrested woman. Police withheld details, saying it’s a domestic matter.
Under state law, a person is guilty of disorderly conduct when he or she, “with intent to cause inconvenience, annoyance or alarm, engages in fighting or in violent, tumultuous or threatening behavior; or by offensive or disorderly conduct, annoys or interferes with another person,” among other reasons.
Police released the woman after she promised to appear Monday in state Superior Court.
