The New Canaan Building Department on Feb. 25 issued a building permit for a new 4,182-square-foot house on Douglas Road.
The new six-bedroom home planned for 48 Douglas Road will include seven full bathrooms and one half-bath, according to the building permit.
It also will have a 1,085-square-foot finished attic (bedroom, playroom and bathroom), fireplace and two-car garage, the permit said.
The house will cost $1.1 million to build.
The contractor and architect on the job is Anthony Tomas Builders LLC of New Canaan.
A 1947-built, 1,333-square-foot ranch-style home currently sits on the property.
The .27-acre lot was purchased in December for $1,626,000 by a limited liability company whose principal is Anthony Tomas, according to tax and Connecticut Secretary of the State records.
