The New Canaan Building Department has issued a permit for a 3,030-square-foot home on the west side of town.
The new four-bedroom house at 28 Skyview Lane will have four full bathrooms, one half-bath, one fireplace, a three-bay garage, open and covered decks and unfinished attic, according to a building permit issued Aug. 22.
It will cost $1,050,000 to build, the permit said.
The contractor on the job is New Canaan-based Ready Construction Inc., the architect Raspini Consulting Engineers LLC of Monroe.
According to tax records, the new construction will replace a 1961-built Cape-style home that also was about 3,000 square feet on the 1.14-acre lot. The property was purchased for $1.6 million last December, the records show.
