Town officials on Wednesday received an application to build a new 6,300-square-foot house on a Lambert Road property, roughly tripling the size of the home that had stood there before.
The five-bedroom house at 134 Lambert Road will include five full bathrooms, two half-baths, a three-car attached garage and unfinished attic and basement, according to the building permit application.
It will cost about $1.2 million to build, the application said.
The contractor on the job is Norwalk’s Patrick Meenan, and the architect is Tucker Chase of Stratford, the application said.
It’s a 1.06-acre lot in the 2-acre zone. The property was purchased in November for $1,050,000, according to tax records, and the 1962-built Colonial there came down in February.
The new owner is a LLC whose principals are Fairfield residents, according to records on file with the Connecticut Secretary of the State.
