The Building Department on Feb. 19 received an application to construct a 7,000-square-foot home on a vacant lot in western New Canaan.
The six-bedroom house planned for 1211 Ponus Ridge will include five full bathrooms, two half-baths, four fireplaces, a finished basement and three-bay garage, according to a building permit application.
It will cost about $1.5 million to build, the application said.
The contractor on the job will be the property’s owner, it said.
The property is owned by a limited liability company whose principal is the head of Woodcrest Homes, according to Connecticut Secretary of the State records.
According to submitted plans, the architect is Ridgefield-based D. Peters Designs, LLC of Wilton.
The 2.16-acre lot (located in the two-acre zone) was purchased for $1.6 million in September, tax records show.
