Police: New Canaan Woman, 18, Arrested After Family Dispute

More

Police arrested an 18-year-old New Canaan woman late Saturday after a family dispute at a residence downtown.

Officers at 11:15 p.m. on June 4 received a report of the dispute occurring at an Elm Street residence.

Following an investigation, officers charged the woman with criminal violation of a restraining order and disorderly conduct.

It is unclear what motivated the disagreement, how long or just why the restraining order has been in place or what is the woman’s relationship with the victim. Police withheld information due to the incident’s classification as a family dispute.

She was held on $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear Monday in state Superior court in Norwalk.
