Police on Tuesday morning arrested a 29-year-old Georgia man by warrant and charged him with third-degree larceny.
Authorities launched an investigation Nov. 29 following a complaint regarding a fraudulent business agreement, according to a police report. The man is accused of posing as a representative from a company, the report said, making off with $3,950.
The man turned himself in on the misdemeanor charge at 6 a.m. on July 7. Additional arrests are expected for others who defrauded the victim, the report said.
Police released the man on $1,5000 bond and scheduled him to appear Aug. 28 in state Superior Court.
