New Construction Planned for Oenoke Ridge Road, Fairty Drive
|
The town last Monday issued a permit to build a 7,820-square-foot home on a 2.22-acre Oenoke Ridge Road property. The new construction will more than double the existing 1965-built Colonial at 549 Oenoke Ridge—for decades the home of beloved, late New Canaanite Dick Reifers. An avid gardener who was active in town affairs, Reifers was honored last year by the Public Tree Board, which planted a sycamore on the banks of Mead Pond in his honor on Arbor Day. The property was purchased for $1,625,000 in May, tax records show. It’s owned by a limited liability company whose principals reside in Westport and in Pound Ridge, N.Y., according to records on file with the Connecticut Secretary of the State.
