Domestic Disputes Lead To Assault Charges on Millport

Police last week arrested a 54-year-old New Canaan woman and 37-year-old Derby man at residences on Millport Avenue following two separate domestic disputes. At about 8:42 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, officers were dispatched to a Millport Avenue home on a report of family dispute, according to a police report. Following an investigation, police charged the woman with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct, the report said. It isn’t clear what prompted the argument or led to the assault charge—because it’s a domestic incident, police are not releasing details. The woman was released after promising to appear April 14 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.

Summer Street Man Arrested Following Domestic Dispute

Police arrested a 29-year-old Summer Street man Friday afternoon following a domestic dispute. At about 12:39 p.m., officers were dispatched to a residence on Summer on a report that two family members were arguing, according to a police report. Following an investigation, police charged the man with third-degree assault on a victim over 60 as well as disorderly conduct. New Canaan Police Charge Out-of-Town Man with Harassment

New Canaan Police arrested a 23-year-old Milford man by warrant on Monday and charged him with three counts of second-degree harassment. Last month, on Jan. 22, police heard a complaint of harassment in connection with a family dispute in town, according to a police report. The victim, a New Canaan resident, reported that he or she had been harassed by the Milford man, the report said. It isn’t clear what he is accused of doing or to whom—police are classifying the matter as a domestic incident.

New Canaan Police Charge Stamford Man with Harassment After Domestic Incident

New Canaan police on Wednesday arrested a 22-year-old Stamford man by warrant and charged him with second-degree harassment. At about 9:45 a.m. on Feb. 10, police arrested the man based on a domestic dispute reported Jan. 19 by the victim in the incident, according to a police report. It isn’t clear just what happened, to whom or where—police said only that the matter is being classified as a domestic incident.

Police: Stalking, Harassment Charges for Bridgeport Man; Stamford Woman Leaves Accident Scene

Police on Thursday evening arrested a 24-year-old Bridgeport man on stalking and harassment charges following a report from a restaurant downtown. According to a police report, officers at 5:14 p.m. on Jan. 21 were dispatched to a Forest Street restaurant and, as a result of an investigation there, brought second-degree harassment and second-degree stalking charges against the man. It isn’t clear in what way the arrested man was harassing or stalking, or whether the victim was a patron or worker at the restaurant. Police are classifying the case as a domestic violence incident.
