Domestic Violence: Police Arrest Woman at Boyfriend’s Forest Street Home

Police arrested a 32-year-old woman last Wednesday after spotting her inside a local pharmacy with her boyfriend, in violation of a protective order. At about 7:34 p.m. on Dec. 9, an office saw the woman and boyfriend enter Walgreens on Pine Street, according to a police report. The officer was aware that a protective order had been issued, following a Sept. 21 incident in which the woman hit the man in the back of the head with a hairbrush, the report said.

Although our town has a very low crime rate, crimes such as domestic violence have remained constant over many years. Domestic violence is New Canaan’s violent crime. Police: Forest Street Woman Assaults Man with Hairbrush

Police arrested a 32–year-old Forest Street woman last Monday evening following a domestic violence incident at her home. At 6:32 p.m. on Sept. 21, the woman phoned police herself to report that a cellphone battery and prescription pills had been taken from her, according to a police report. Arriving, police found that she had struck a man there in the back of the head and his back with a hairbrush, the report said. She was charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

New Canaan Resident Arrested After Threatening To Stab Relative

A 60-year-old Ferris Hill Road resident was arrested for disorderly conduct Saturday morning after threatening to injure a family member, according to police. At about 8:08 a.m. on Sept. 5, police received information that one member of the family had told another, “I am going to stab you,” according to a police report. As a result of the threat, the arrested person was taken to Norwalk Hospital for medical treatment, the report said. Police withheld further details of the incident, including the arrested individual’s name, citing a mental health situation.

Police Arrest New York Man, 37, After He Pulls Woman From Car To Keep ‘Partying’

Police arrested a 37-year-old Pound Ridge, N.Y. man late Saturday night after he yanked a woman out of a car in New Canaan after she told him that she wanted to go home while he wanted to continue “partying,” according to a police report. At about 11:59 p.m., police arrived at Hoyt Farms and New Norwalk Roads following a report that a woman had been thrown from a vehicle whose occupants then fled the scene, police said. The woman, from New York state, suffered bruises and cuts to her right knee, the report said. She told officers that she’d been in the car with two men she knew and told them she wanted to go home but they didn’t, police said. The woman was taken to Norwalk Hospital while police searched for the men.
