Election 2026: Letters of Endorsement

NewCanaanite.com recently received the following endorsement letter(s). We will publish them through Oct. 26. ***

As a founder of CT169Strong, I have likely spent more time watching hearings and testifying in Hartford on housing and zoning matters, energy policy and against school regionalization than any other person in New Canaan over the past 6 years. Recently, with Supermajority control by Democrats, their Leadership are now undermining what used to be sound legislative process.  Full bills with detailed concepts and language no longer get a public hearing for proper vetting and have been replaced by concepts alone.  Taking a vague concept alone to public hearing is very challenging for any land use experts or local municipal leaders to testify on when they do not know exactly what will be in the final language of the bill.
