Huguette Clark Estate in New Canaan Set for $15.9 Million Sale

After decades of dormancy and wide speculation on prospective buyers, the famed Huguette Clark property at 104 Dan’s Highway now has a buyer. “Le Beau Château” as it’s known, was constructed in 1937 and sits on a 52-acre estate, according to a website dedicated to the property and overseen by New Canaan’s Barbara Cleary’s Realty Guild. The listing went to pending on Tuesday, Realtors say. New Canaan Realtor Chris Sigg said: “After five years and five months on the market and a 33 percent price reduction, the famed Huguette Clark estate built in 1937 has now gone to contract. This 9-bedroom, 14,000-square-foot home is undoubtedly a lost treasure from a time of true grandeur.
