On behalf of our board, staff, volunteers, and especially the patients and families we serve, I wish to extend my heartfelt thanks to the New Canaan Artisans for their most generous gift of $4,100 to support the hospice and palliative care programs of Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County. Our hospice program provides care to individuals and their families who are facing the end of life. Our palliative care program provides services to those who are coping with serious or life-limiting illness while they continue to pursue active treatment. With help from this generous charitable donation from the New Canaan Artisans, our non-profit agency is able to provide comfort to improve the quality of life for those in our care, focusing on the reduction of symptoms as well as providing emotional and spiritual support to our patients and their families. The New Canaan Artisans is a treasure in our community.
