The New Canaan Chamber and the New Canaan Music Store are presenting the music of Suite 102 at the Pop Up Park in downtown New Canaan at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 10.
Suite 102 consists of three area musicians: Anthony Buzzeo, Preston Murphy and Johnny Reid. Buzzeo, who plays guitar in the trio, and Murphy, who plays stand up bass, are both graduates of Berklee College of Music in Boston and have played with the likes of Bruce Williams, George Garzone, Frank Tiberi and Tony Purone.
Reid, who plays harmonica and sings, has shared the stage with George Thorogood and the Destroyers, Grace Potter, the late great James Cotton, members of the Trey Anastasio Band (Phish) and G.E. Smith, among others.
He is the co-founder and principal in Pass the Pick Productions, LLC, a boutique entertainment company based in New Canaan.
The recently formed group offers a wide blend of covers and originals ranging in styles from jazz, blues, rock and soul. Suite 102 is excited to be performing publicly in New Canaan for the first time.
