Schubert Recital at First Presbyterian Church
Award-winning tenor John Park will present a 30 minute recital on Sunday, February 22 at 11:30 AM at First Presbyterian Church, 178 Oenoke Ridge in New Canaan. First Presbyterians Are Coming Home
On Sept. 11, 2016 the First Presbyterian Church of New Canaan welcomes all to its 10 a.m. worship service and “Coming Home Sunday” festivities. The Rev. Paul E. Gilmore will deliver the sermon, the Adult Choir will sing, and Sunday’s Cool for children in grades K-7 resumes. Following the service, all are invited outside for a picnic. On Friday, September 23 at 7:30pm, First Presbyterian Church presents the Arsenal Duo in concert. Two phenomenal musicians, Edward Moore (organ) and Nathan Carterette (piano) join forces to play Rachmaninoff, Franck, the first movement from Tchaikovsky’s First Piano Concerto and Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue” arranged for piano and organ. Phantom of the Opera Silent Movie Night with Live Organ!
Come experience the original “Phantom of the Opera” silent movie with live improvised accompaniment. Organist Jackson Borges will be playing the organ live to accompany the original 1925 silent film Phantom of the Opera, just as it was done in 1925! Arthur Sjögren Memorial Concert
