New Canaan Library is rolling out the red carpet for it first ever movie premiere! Based on the wonderful children’s book by best-selling author Katherine Paterson, The Great Gilly Hopkins will be shown on Wednesday, October 19th at 6:00 p.m. at Bow Tie Cinema, 89 Elm Street, New Canaan. NCHS crew members will be "rowing" on Elm St. on Saturday, September 29 from 8:00am - 12:00pm in front of the New Canaan Playhouse. Rowers will race each other on erg machines to demonstrate the sport and raise funds. Anyone interested in the sport of rowing is welcome to come learn about the high school team as well as rowing programs for middle school and adults.

Stand Together Against Racism (S.T.A.R )is thrilled to present the Connecticut premiere of the critically acclaimed documentary, Rising Hope, directed by New Canaan-raised Theo Avgerinos.
