Police are investigating about $60,000 in jewelry reported stolen last week from a Deacons Way home.

A $27,500 Harry Winston diamond bracelet and pair of diamond-studded earrings worth about $30,000 are among the items that went missing some time before Oct. 8, according to Sgt. Carol Ogrinc of the New Canaan Police Department.

A 48-year-old woman reported the larceny at 2:03 that day, Ogrinc said. It isn’t clear just when they were stolen, she said. The woman’s husband said he remembers noticing on Oct. 3 that two wooden jewelry boxes were missing from the couple’s home.

Other items taken include a Rolex Oyster Perpetual watch ($1,500), pair of antique cufflinks ($100), two Smathers & Branson wooden belt boxes ($60 total) and give sterling silver cufflinks ($500 total).

The last time the woman remembers seeing or wearing the bracelet or earrings was about three months ago, according to a police report. The couple has had regular workers in the house, Ogrinc said.

Police are investigating.
