Police on Friday afternoon arrested an 18-year-old town man and charged him with disorderly conduct.

At about 3:20 p.m. on June 1, officers were dispatched to a Field Crest Road home on a report of a domestic dispute between two occupants of the residence, according to police.

Following an investigation, the teen was charged with the misdemeanor offense.

It isn’t clear what the dispute involved, whether it turned physical or whether or how the arrested man is related to the victim. Police withheld further information, calling it a domestic matter.

Under state law, a person is guilty of disorderly conduct when, with intent to cause inconvenience, annoyance or alarm, engages in fighting or in violent, tumultuous or threatening behavior; or by offensive or disorderly conduct, annoys or interferes with another person, among other reasons.

The man was released after promising to appear June 4 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
