Police on Monday arrested a 39-year-old Stamford woman by warrant and charged her with fifth-degree larceny.
At about 1:27 p.m. on June 30, officers were dispatched to Togs store on Elm Street on a report of shoplifting earlier the day, police said.
A woman had stolen about $626 in clothing, according to a police report.
Police conducted an investigation using surveillance video from Togs and other stores, as well as information from a license plate reader, the report said.
Police identified the woman and obtained a warrant for the misdemeanor charge.
She turned herself in to police at about 10:58 a.m. on Aug. 2.
Police released the woman on $1,000 bond and scheduled her to appear Aug. 24 in state Superior Court.
